In this morning's President's Club, we rolled out an exciting new sales contest appropriately named Top Gun. Why Top Gun? At Sandler Training, we're serious about training people to achieve the top of their sales game.

We're reminded of the movie's Commander Mike Metcalf, a.k.a. Viper, (played by Tom Skerrit) who said, "This school is about combat. There are no points for second place." "Sales can often feel like combat," says Theresa Grace, Sandler associate "But this contest is designed to put the fun into developing habits and behaviors our President's Club members should be practicing anyway. The purpose behind Top Gun is to help our clients grow their businesses, create community and have fun."

President's Club members compete for Top Gun honors for four weeks, from July 11 to August 5. Points will be awarded for categories like - attending President's Club and Sandler Training classes, completing their behavior tracking cookbooks, journaling, developing written goals and giving referrals. The President's Club member who achieves the most points will be awarded Top Gun along with their choice of one of five prize packages worth between $300 - $500. Unlike naval aviation school, Sandler Training will award runner up prizes to the contestants who earn Blue Angel (second place) and Airman First Class (third place) honors.

What did President's Club members think about competing in the Top Gun contest? "It's brilliant!" says Brittney Hurst (a.k.a. Zipper). Amanda Gaffney (a.k.a. Burn) says "I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to do it."
